A quality traditional-style solid brass thumbturn with emergency slot release for use on deadbolt operators on doors. On the opposite end of the crescent-turn side. there is a special emergency slot for unlocking the door. Just use a screwdriver to turn the slot. this will then turn the shaft that will unlock the bolt on a deadbolt operator. or a deadbolt on a mortise lock. Combining function along with style. these crescent-style thumb turns will provide a welcoming addition to your doors. They are designed in the early 20th century style of hardware. but will fit in with any time period up to the current modern styles. Available in non-lacquered brass (the un-lacquered brass will patina over time). oil rubbed bronze. lacquered brass. brushed nickel. polished nickel finishes.
